I was responsible for building dynamic MODX-templates from static HTML files. I implemented delicate dynamic navigation systems, Flickr API implementation, templating, custom snippets and modules.
Soon after the site launch, the website won the renowned FIAMP prize by AVICOM (Unesco; gold in the web-category).
Smarthistory won the Webby-Award 2009 in the education category - Notable competitors were Edutopia by George Lucas, The Exploratorium, The Times of London and Merriam Webster.
